A shikibuton, also known as a Japanese futon, is a traditional mattress designed to be placed on the floor. 
The term shikibuton means “futon to spread out” in 
Japanese, which reflects its use: it is spread out for sleeping, 
then easily folded and stored during the day. 
The traditional shikibuton is filled with cotton, but our products are filled with a combination of memory foams, other foams and shredded polyester to reduce their weight while offering similar support.
